What was drawn most often in 2026?

These figures describe the selected year only. They are calculated from the same results shown in the archive and do not imply that a frequently or infrequently drawn number is more likely in the next draw.

Calculating the selected year from the Thunderball archive.

Historical frequency is descriptive, not predictive. Every valid number in the applicable pool has the same chance of being drawn in a future independent draw.

Number pool used

The eligible main-number range depends on the selected year.

2010 spans two Thunderball formats. Main numbers 35–39 only became eligible from 12 May 2010, so they had fewer opportunities to appear that year. For that reason, the “least-drawn” panel excludes 35–39 when 2010 is selected.

Where the archive begins

The first Thunderball draw was on 12 June 1999

Draw 1 produced main numbers 8, 26, 28, 31 and 32, with Thunderball 6. At launch, the five main balls came from a smaller 1–34 pool.

Thunderball began as a Saturday-only draw. Wednesday was added in October 2002, Friday in May 2010 and Tuesday in January 2018.

The archive is therefore useful for more than looking up old numbers: the number of draws per year changes substantially as the weekly schedule expands.

Important when analysing the archive

Thunderball’s historical numbers are split by the 2010 rule change

Numbers 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39 did not have the same opportunity to appear across the full archive because they were only added to the main-number pool in May 2010.

Data boundary12 May 2010
Before 12 MayFive main numbers from 1–34 plus one Thunderball from 1–14.
From 12 MayFive main numbers from 1–39 plus one Thunderball from 1–14.

Draw 965 on Wednesday 12 May 2010 was the first draw under the enlarged 1–39 main-number matrix. The sorted winning main numbers were 11, 21, 24, 32 and 38, with Thunderball 10.

This is why an all-time “most common number” table can be misleading. Numbers 1–34 have more than a decade of extra draw history compared with 35–39.

Any future hot/cold or frequency analysis on MLL should therefore let the visitor compare the original era and the current 1–39 era separately.

Thunderball results history FAQs

Questions about old Thunderball results

How far back does the Thunderball results archive go?

The archive begins with the first Thunderball draw on Saturday 12 June 1999 and runs through to the latest completed draw available to MLL.

What were the first Thunderball winning numbers?

The first draw produced 8, 26, 28, 31 and 32, with Thunderball 6.

Why are there no main numbers 35 to 39 before May 2010?

The original game used five main numbers from 1–34. The main pool increased to 1–39 from the draw on Wednesday 12 May 2010.

Can I search old Thunderball results by number?

Yes. Enter a number in the search box to find rows in the selected year containing that value. You can also search by date, month wording or draw number.

Can I filter old Thunderball results by draw day?

Yes. You can show all draw days or restrict the selected year to Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. Older years naturally contain fewer draw days because Thunderball’s weekly schedule expanded over time.

Do old Thunderball results predict future winning numbers?

No. Historical results describe previous draws. They do not change the probability of any valid combination in a future independent draw.

Why should Thunderball frequency statistics separate the old and current formats?

Numbers 35–39 only entered the main-number pool in May 2010, so they have less historical exposure than numbers 1–34. Comparing the two eras separately avoids treating that structural difference as a number trend.

Where can I see the latest Thunderball prize breakdown?

Use MLL’s Thunderball winners page for the latest winner counts and full prize distribution, or the results page for the latest winning numbers and draw status.
