How the Lotto Number Generator Works

Each generated line contains six different numbers from 1–59. The numbers are sorted from lowest to highest so they are easy to read, copy and check later.

Six unique numbers

The generator keeps selecting numbers from 1–59 until it has six different values. No number is repeated within the same line.

Generate 1, 5 or 10 lines

Choose a single quick line or generate several separate random combinations together.

Copy them in one tap

Copy Numbers copies every line currently displayed, including all five or ten lines when you generate a larger set.

Random selection does not improve the mathematical chance of a particular combination being drawn. The generator is designed for quick, convenient number selection.
Current Lotto format

One Lotto Line, Two Chances in Each Draw

Lotto changed in June 2026. You still choose the same six numbers from 1–59 and still pay £2 per line, but those numbers now take part in two separate Lotto rounds on the same draw night.

You do not need to generate two different lines

The same six-number line is checked against Round 1 and Round 2. Each round draws its own six main numbers and Bonus Ball.

That means the chance of matching all six numbers somewhere across the two rounds is now approximately 1 in 22,528,738 for a single £2 line.

Frequently asked questions

UK Lotto Number Generator FAQs

How many numbers does the Lotto generator choose?
It generates six different numbers from 1 to 59 for each Lotto line.
Can I generate more than one Lotto line?
Yes. Choose 1, 5 or 10 lines at the top of the page.
Can I copy all of my generated Lotto numbers?
Yes. The Copy numbers button copies every line currently shown. If you generate five or ten lines, they are copied together.
Does one Lotto line now play in two rounds?
Yes. Under the current Lotto format, the same £2 line is entered into two separate number-draw rounds on the same draw night.
Do I need to choose a Bonus Ball?
No. You choose six main numbers. A Bonus Ball is drawn separately in each Lotto round and is only relevant to the appropriate prize tier.
Are random Lotto numbers more likely to win?
No. Every particular valid six-number combination has the same probability within a Lotto round regardless of how it was selected.
What are the Lotto jackpot odds now?
There are 45,057,474 possible six-number combinations in one Lotto round. Because a £2 line now plays in two rounds, its draw-night chance of matching all six numbers is approximately 1 in 22,528,738.
What are the odds of winning any Lotto prize?
Across the current two-round format, the approximate overall odds of winning a Lotto prize are 1 in 4.9.
How much does a Lotto line cost?
A UK Lotto line costs £2.
When are Lotto draws held?
Lotto draws are held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
This is an independent My Lottery Life tool. It does not buy, submit or store a National Lottery entry.
