Irish Lotto Jackpot Winners in 2026
The first six wins below are verified 2026 jackpot wins from the former 6/47 game. Any jackpot wins recorded under the new 6/45 rules are added automatically from the local draw-history database.
| Draw date | Jackpot | Jackpot winners | Winner / area reported | Ticket channel or selling location | Format |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 Feb 2026 | €11,101,286 | 1 | Mayo syndicate | Kelly's Mace, Newport, Co. Mayo | 6/47 |
| 2 May 2026 | €8,726,418 | 1 | Dublin player | Applegreen Ballymount, Dublin 12 | 6/47 |
| 23 May 2026 | €3,731,996 | 1 | Dublin player | Online | 6/47 |
| 25 Jul 2026 | €8,221,849 | 1 | Tipperary syndicate | Obama Plaza, Moneygall, Co. Offaly | 6/47 |
| 12 Aug 2026 | €3,369,310 | 1 | Dublin player | Circle K Kennelsfort, Palmerstown, Dublin 20 | 6/47 |
| 2 Sep 2026 | €3,641,884 | 1 | Cork online player | Online | Final 6/47 draw |
Location needs careful wording. The county where a ticket is sold is not necessarily the winner's home county. The €8.22m July 2026 jackpot is a good example: the ticket was bought in Moneygall, Co. Offaly, but the claiming winners were later identified as a Tipperary syndicate. This page keeps those two facts separate wherever they are known.

How Many Irish Lotto Jackpots Are Won Each Year?
Jackpot-winning draw counts naturally vary from year to year. The figures below are descriptive history, not a forecast of how often future jackpots will be won.
2026 to Date
Six jackpot-winning draws were confirmed before the new 6/45 game began; current-era winners are added automatically above.
2025
The National Lottery's 2025 year review reported nine Lotto jackpot wins across Dublin, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Louth, Waterford, Mayo and Westmeath.
2024
The final 2024 Lotto jackpot win in Mayo was reported as the eleventh Lotto jackpot win of that year.
Where Was the Winning Irish Lotto Ticket Sold?
Winner stories often use “location” in more than one way. Keeping these distinctions clear prevents a retailer location from being mistaken for a winner's home address or county.
Selling Location
The shop, town or county where a physical winning ticket was purchased. This can be publicised even when the winner remains private.
Online County
For online wins, the National Lottery may identify the account holder's county without publishing a retailer because there was no physical selling shop.
Winner's Home Area
A later claim story may reveal that the winner or syndicate comes from somewhere different from the ticket's selling location, but only where that information is released.
The National Lottery's terms state that winner details are not publicised without the winner's prior consent. Its participant code also sets out measures designed to protect winner identity.

Claiming, Privacy and Tax for Irish Lotto Winners
90-Day Claim Deadline
Draw-game prizes must be claimed within 90 days of the winning draw. A physical ticket is a bearer instrument, so retail winners need to keep the ticket safe.
Winner Privacy
The National Lottery says it will not publicise winner details without prior consent. Retailer or area information can still be released under its winner-protection procedures.
Lottery Win Tax
Irish Revenue lists lottery wins among gains exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Tax can still become relevant later depending on what a winner does with the money.

Irish National Lottery Games Are for Adults Aged 18+
Past winner stories and jackpot records do not change the mathematical odds of a future draw. If you choose to play, keep lottery spending within a budget you can comfortably afford.
Winner History Is Descriptive
Where and when previous jackpots were won does not make a future location, draw or number more likely to win.
My Lottery Life is an independent lottery information website and is not the Irish National Lottery. Winner locations are described only to the level publicly reported by official or clearly identified sources. Official National Lottery results and prize-validation records take precedence if there is any discrepancy.
