How the Irish Lotto Location Tool Works

1

Add the Six Numbers

The tool totals the six numbers in your line. It does not look at hot numbers, past winners or ticket sales.

2

Convert the Total to 1–45

The total is reduced to a location index from 1 to 45. Multiples of 45 map to location 45.

3

Match the Index to a Place

That index selects a fixed Republic of Ireland location. Because the rule never changes, the same line always gives the same result.

Your location does not change the odds. This is a deterministic way to turn a number line into an Irish place for fun. It is not based on where winning tickets have been sold and does not make one combination more likely to win.

Numbers to Location and Location to Numbers

This page starts with a six-number line and finds its Irish place. The companion generator works in the other direction: choose an Irish location and it creates a repeatable 6/45 line for that place.

You Already Have Six Numbers

Use this page to see the location attached to your existing line and its six-number place trail.

You Want to Start With a Place

Choose a town or city first and use the location generator to create a six-number line.

Why Northern Ireland Is Not Included in the Location Index

This tool is built around the Irish National Lottery and therefore uses places in the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of the UK National Lottery market rather than the Irish National Lottery retail network.

Irish Lotto location questions

Irish Lotto Numbers by Location FAQs

Does where I live affect my Irish Lotto numbers?

No. Every valid six-number combination has the same jackpot chance in a fair 6/45 draw. This tool simply gives a number line a repeatable Irish location.

Will the same numbers always return the same location?

Yes. The tool uses a fixed mathematical rule and a fixed 45-place index, so the same six numbers always produce the same overall location.

Why are there 45 locations?

The current Irish Lotto game uses numbers 1–45. Using 45 places gives every ball number its own location anchor and lets any six-number total be converted back into the same 1–45 range.

Are these places based on where Irish Lotto jackpots were won?

No. The locations are not a winner-location ranking and are not weighted by ticket sales or historical jackpot wins. For actual winner locations, use the Irish Lotto winners page.

Can I use the mapped place to generate another line?

Yes. The companion location generator accepts the same place list and creates a repeatable current 6/45 line from the selected location.

Can a mapped location improve my chances of winning?

No. The mapping changes how you choose or describe a line, not the probability of the draw. The jackpot odds remain 1 in 8,145,060 per line.

Location-Themed Numbers Have the Same Odds as Every Other Line

Use the location tool as a fun way to choose or share numbers, not as a prediction method. Every valid Irish Lotto combination has the same chance of matching the six main balls.
