Hot, cold and overdue are descriptions of past draws, not predictions. Every number from 1–45 has the same chance of being drawn next time, regardless of how often or recently it has appeared.

“Hot” means most appearances in the selected recent sample. “Cold” means fewest appearances. “Overdue” measures the gap since a number last appeared, so it is kept separate from cold frequency.

The key difference from a basic hot-number table

Recent Frequency vs the Full Current 6/45 Era

A number can look hot in a short run without being unusually common across the whole current game. This table compares each number's recent appearance rate with its rate across all 6/45 draws since September 2026.

Movement is descriptive: “up recently” means the number's appearance rate in the selected recent sample is higher than its full current-era rate. It does not indicate increased future probability.

Recency without calling a number “due”

Current Number Gaps and Recent Streaks

Gap and streak statistics answer different questions: how long since a number last appeared, and whether a number has appeared in consecutive recent draws.

A long gap is not a signal. Calling a number “overdue” is shorthand for the time since its last appearance. It does not mean the lottery is more likely to draw it next.

Why this page uses the current game first

Hot & Cold Numbers Under the Current 6/45 Rules

Irish Lotto changed from 6/47 to 6/45 on 5 September 2026. Mixing the old and new number pools can make a current hot/cold ranking difficult to interpret, so this page uses current 6/45 draws by default.

Current Number Pool

The current game uses numbers 1–45. Numbers 46 and 47 are no longer part of the Lotto draw pool.

Current-Era Baseline

The recent-vs-overall comparison uses all stored 6/45 draws since 5 September 2026 as its longer baseline.

Historical Data Still Matters

Older 6/47 results remain valid history, but they belong to a different game matrix and are better analysed separately.

Irish Lotto Hot & Cold Numbers FAQs

What are the hottest Irish Lotto numbers?

The latest hot-number ranking is loading from the current 6/45 draw history.

What are the coldest Irish Lotto numbers?

The latest cold-number ranking is loading from the current 6/45 draw history.

Are hot Irish Lotto numbers more likely to be drawn?

No. A hot number has simply appeared more often in the selected historical sample. Each individual number has the same chance of appearing in the next random draw.

Are cold or overdue numbers more likely to come back?

No. Past absence does not create a higher probability in the next draw. “Cold” and “overdue” are descriptive labels only.

What is the difference between a cold number and an overdue number?

A cold number has a low total appearance count in the selected sample. An overdue number has gone a relatively long time since its most recent appearance. The same number can be both, but the two statistics measure different things.

How often do the hot and cold rankings change?

They recalculate whenever a new confirmed Irish Lotto draw is added. With the current 6/45 era still relatively young, rankings can move noticeably after a single draw.
