7:45pm Is the Important Ticket Cut-Off

The Irish National Lottery currently states a 7:45pm sales cut-off for Lotto on draw nights, including tickets bought in-store, through the National Lottery app and online. Do not use 7:55pm as the deadline to buy a ticket.

Buy Irish Lotto Tickets Online

The official place to buy Irish Lotto tickets online is the Irish National Lottery website. Tickets can also be purchased through the official National Lottery app. Players must be aged 18 or over.

Irish Lotto Sales Cut-Off and Draw Timeline

Several different times are often described online as the “Irish Lotto draw time”. Separating the sales cut-off, livestream and television broadcast makes the schedule much clearer.

Before 7:45pm

Buy the Draw Entry

Complete an eligible Lotto purchase before the official draw-night sales cut-off.

7:45pm

Lotto Sales Close

New entries for that evening's Lotto draw close. A ticket bought after the cut-off will not enter the closing draw.

7:55pm

Draw Livestream

The National Lottery says each Lotto draw continues to be livestreamed on lottery.ie at 7:55pm.

After the draw

Results Are Confirmed

Winning numbers are published after confirmation. Full prize and winner data can follow after the numbers themselves.

Livestream time and TV time are not the same thing

Where and When to Watch the Irish Lotto Draw

The National Lottery's online livestream and the RTÉ One television broadcast are two separate ways to follow the draw. This distinction matters because some lottery websites describe both simply as the “draw time”.

Online livestream

Lottery.ie – 7:55pm

The National Lottery's September 2026 game-change announcement states that each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto draw is livestreamed at 7:55pm on lottery.ie.

Television

RTÉ One – Before the Nine O'Clock News

Lotto continues to be broadcast on RTÉ One, but the National Lottery moved the television results to a later slot before the Nine O'Clock News in March 2026.

So which time should you use? Use 7:45pm for the purchase deadline and 7:55pm if you want to follow the National Lottery's online draw livestream. Check the current RTÉ One schedule if you specifically want the television broadcast.

The three draws on a Lotto Plus ticket

When Are Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 Drawn?

Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 take place on the same Monday, Wednesday and Saturday draw nights as the main Irish Lotto. The Plus draws follow the main Lotto draw rather than requiring a separate ticket time.

1

Main Irish Lotto

Six main winning numbers and a Bonus Ball are drawn for the main Lotto game.

2

Lotto Plus 1

If Lotto Plus is on your ticket, the same six selected numbers are checked against the separate Plus 1 draw.

3

Lotto Plus 2

The same selected numbers are also checked against Lotto Plus 2 on the same draw night.

The National Lottery publishes the three sets of results together. It does not need a separate ticket-sales deadline for Plus 1 or Plus 2 when Lotto Plus is added to the Lotto entry.

Irish Lotto Draw Time in Your Time Zone

Irish Lotto times are set in Ireland local time. Ireland changes between GMT in winter and Irish Standard Time in summer, so a fixed conversion can be wrong for part of the year.

When Are Irish Lotto Results Published?

The draw begins around the scheduled livestream time, but a results page should use confirmed numbers rather than treating 7:55pm as an automatic publication deadline.

Winning Numbers First

The six main numbers and Bonus Ball can be available shortly after the draw is completed and confirmed.

Lotto Plus Results Follow

Lotto Plus 1 and Plus 2 results belong to the same draw night and can appear alongside the main Lotto result once confirmed.

Prize Data Can Arrive Later

Winner counts, prize breakdowns and the next jackpot estimate can be added after the winning numbers. My Lottery Life keeps the last confirmed data visible while updates are still arriving.

Before September 2026

Irish Lotto was drawn on Wednesday and Saturday.

Current Schedule

Irish Lotto is now drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with the 7:45pm sales cut-off and 7:55pm livestream applying to all three draw nights.
