What would have happened if you had played the five most-drawn EuroMillions numbers and two most-drawn Lucky Stars in every current-format draw? Replay the idea across the full 5-from-50 + 2-from-12 era, then compare it with the coldest numbers, a random line or your own 5 + 2 selection.
Every line is replayed through the comparable EuroMillions matrix from 27 September 2016 onward.
The test starts on 27 September 2016, when the present 12-Lucky-Star pool began. That gives every current main number and every current Lucky Star the same opportunity to appear throughout the comparison.
Important: this version measures number-match results rather than pretending EuroMillions has fixed cash prizes. Prize values below the jackpot vary by draw, so Lottery Lab counts the exact match tier reached and keeps the monetary return calculation for a future historical-prize version.
Compare two hindsight-selected extremes with a fresh random valid EuroMillions line.
Pick five main numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars from 1 to 12. Your line will be replayed through exactly the same current-format draw archive.
Build one valid EuroMillions line.
The exact current-matrix probability of landing one of the 13 EuroMillions number-match prize tiers is 7.71%, or about 1 in 12.97. UK Millionaire Maker is a separate code draw and is not part of this comparison.
Each row shows how many times this exact 5 + 2 line would have landed that match category. Cash values are deliberately not estimated because EuroMillions payouts vary between draws.
Why the hot line can look unusually strong: the hottest main numbers and Lucky Stars are chosen using the same completed history they are then replayed through. That is deliberate hindsight bias. It makes this a useful “what would have happened?” experiment, but not evidence that those numbers have become more likely in the next draw.
With more than a thousand comparable draws, the difference between the hindsight-selected hot line, cold line and random line can be striking. The key is understanding why: hot and cold lines are defined by the history after it happened.
The useful comparison is the historical winning-draw rate. Once the archive loads, this section compares the selected line with the theoretical chance of landing any EuroMillions number-match prize.
