Division 1

Match all 7 winning numbers

$20,000 / month

Paid every month for 20 years: 240 payments and $4.8 million nominal total across the standard prize term. The headline monthly amount is guaranteed for up to four Division 1 winners in a draw.

Division 1 odds

Chance for one standard game

1 in 38,320,568

That published probability applies to one seven-number game in one draw. Overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 51.

Confirmed change from Draw 4057 — 14 September 2026

Division 1 adds a $200,000 upfront payment before the $20,000 monthly payments begin. Division 2 adds $20,000 upfront before its $5,000-a-month payments. The 7-from-44 matrix and published odds remain unchanged.

The first two divisions use monthly-payment prizes. Divisions 3–8 are draw dividends rather than fixed advertised amounts.

Probability
Game-draw opportunities

This is the probability of at least one Division 1 match across the selected number of independent game-draw opportunities. Repeating the same line within the same draw does not cover an additional winning combination.

Understanding the maths

Why the seven-draw ticket needs a little care

A standard Set for Life entry covers seven consecutive daily draws. The published Division 1 odds of 1 in 38,320,568 are for one standard game in one draw, not the whole seven-draw run.

Playing the same valid line across seven independent draws gives seven separate opportunities for that line to match all seven winning numbers. The probability across the full run is therefore higher than for one draw, although it remains extremely small.

If you enter several different games in the same draw, you cover more possible seven-number combinations. Buying an identical line twice does not cover a second combination; it simply duplicates the stake and any prize attached to that line if it wins.

Monthly prizes

How the first two prize divisions differ

Division 1

$20,000 a month for 20 years

Match all seven winning numbers. The standard monthly stream totals $4.8 million in nominal payments over 20 years. From Draw 4057, the announced rules add a $200,000 upfront payment.

Division 2

$5,000 a month for 12 months

Match six winning numbers plus one supplementary. The standard monthly stream totals $60,000 over 12 months. From Draw 4057, the announced rules add a $20,000 upfront payment.

Randomness

Odds describe probability — they do not predict the next draw

Every valid seven-number combination has the same Division 1 probability before an independent draw. Hot numbers, cold numbers, overdue numbers, birthdays and visually balanced patterns do not make one valid line mathematically more likely than another.

A random-number generator can make choosing easier and can help avoid accidentally repeating a line when you want different combinations, but it cannot forecast the seven winning numbers.
