How Oz Lotto works
You choose seven numbers for each standard game. The draw produces ten numbers from a pool of 47, with the first seven treated as winning numbers and the final three as supplementary numbers.
A QuickPick or Slikpik generated by an official lottery system has the same probability as any other valid standard game. Choosing birthdays, favourite numbers or frequently drawn numbers does not alter the odds of the next independent draw.

Which operator handles an Oz Lotto ticket?
Oz Lotto is a national game, but the organisation selling and validating the ticket depends on where you play. That affects account rules, sales cut-offs, ticket registration and the prize-claim process.

The important difference is structural: Oz Lotto uses supplementary numbers from the same 1–47 draw, while Powerball has a separate 1–20 Powerball pool.
Oz Lotto now starts from A$4 million
Lotterywest’s current Oz Lotto game information lists the Division 1 prize pool as starting from A$4 million. If Division 1 is not won, the pool can increase for the following Tuesday draw.

What is an Oz Lotto Prize Boost?
Oz Lotto can run advertised Prize Boost events that increase prize amounts in Divisions 2 to 7. The underlying 1–47 draw format does not change, so a Prize Boost does not alter the probability of matching a particular division.

Do frequently drawn Oz Lotto numbers have a better chance next Tuesday?
No. Historical frequency describes completed draws. It does not change the probability of a valid number or combination in the next independent draw.
